This paper primarily investigates ModBus and WorldFIP double-bus ultrasonic level measurement instrument.,and more analysis and experimental research on the problems of improvingthe accuracy of measurement,reducing the dead-zone and the coexistence of dual communication interface are also stated.The paper mainly focuses on the following research works:(1)Analysis and research on the physical properties of ultrasonic testing and the technical characteristics and applications of the two kinds of Fieldbus ModBus and WorldFIP.(2)The use of automatic gain circuit and temperature compensation method decreases the device's blind area effectively,as well as improves the accuracy of measurement.The paper designed a high-precision ultrasonic level measurement instrument with little blind area based on the gain adaptive program.(3)Designed WorldFIP communication module and RS-485 interface module.At the same time prepared software for the implementation of the communication protocol of WorldFIP and ModBus separately.(4)Completed the relevant experimental design.
