| As the "heart" of a ship, the reliability of diesel engine is related to the security of shipping. As one of the most important components which work under the most badly condition, piston ring is directly related to the safety of the diesel engine. With the continuous increase of marine diesel loading and the use of fuel with low quality, the working condition of piston ring is becoming worse and worse, which generates higher possibility of malfunction in marine diesel engine. Therefore it plays a considerablely important role in engineering that developing the monitor experimental for piston ring in order to obtain its rule of wear and manifestation form of sudden malfunction. This paper mainly takes the piston ring of diesel engine as the object of study, mainly contains the following contents:(1) Reorganize the function, the mode of motion, the material physical property, and the surface treatment of piston ring for analyzing their impact on the wear of piston ring.(2) Carry out the finite elements computation of temperature field for the cylinder liner which serves as the coupling movement unit for piston ring to analyze its impact on the wear of piston ring; Using a finite element analysis software in electromagnetic field to analyze how does the magnetic resistance sensor monitor the piston ring wear and to calculate the wear trend curve.(3) Conducted the testing research on piston ring wear and the study on signal processing method, obtained the piston ring by collecting, analyzing and processing the test data, and compared the accuracy of the test wear trend curve with the simulation computation wearing trend curve, which can serves as the technology base for the monitor technology of the piston ring wear of marine diesel engine.(4) Developed the monitor system for diesel engine piston ring, which provides the characteristic value for piston wear monitoring by statistical contrast and can realize the online monitoring for the wear of piston ring of diesel engine. |
