With the rapid development of global economy, as well as the dramatical growth of city's scale and the population, many problems resulted from urban transit have become more and more obvious. As one of modern means of transportation, monorail car has gradually developed in cities all around the world. The frame of monorail car is an important load-bearing structure, which directly decides the life expectancy and performances. Therefore, CAE analysis on the body's skeleton is of great significance and of huge potential for putting theories into practice.The apply of CAE technology in the manufacturing are more widely than before. The trends of CAE technology's development from home and abroad have been analyzed in this paper. Simultaneously, the relevant theory of finite element analysis is presented. By using CAD software, a parametric model for the frame structure of monorail car have also been established in this paper. In order to make calculation convenient, the finite element model have been simplified, and some back round, chamfer, small holes and strengthen ribs which will not affect the overall accuracy have been left out either. Taking the accuracy of simulation and time spared on modeling into account generally, some reasonable solder joints simulation applied into building finite elements model have been adopted,and the finite element analysis model on vehicle body have been established finally. Through the static strength analysis, the anti-flexural, the anti-torsion strength analysis, the modal analysis and fatigue analysis of five typical working conditions such as bending and reverse, the vehicle body have been studied in this paper. The monorail car is the major subject in this paper. Finite element method has been carried out to research intensity and fatigue life of single track vehicle body, and the shortages excited has been improved eventually.
