The Protection And Utilization Of The Outer Environment Of Harbin's Religious Architectures In Modern Times

In February, 1982, in order to avoid the destruction of the significant cities and their cultural relics and historic sites where used to be the center of politics,economics and cultures in ancient times or occurred sites of revolution and great historical events in modern times, the conception of "The Famous Historic and Cultural City"was formally put forward. Up to now, there are 101 national famous historic and cultural cities have been authorize in all. For his special historical proceedings and geographical location, Harbin was acceded to"The famous Historic and Cultural City"in the third rank.In recent years, Harbin begins to excavate,rescue and protect the historical and cultural inheritances .The Department of Planning has drawn up more than 240 protective architectures of three batches. And the Department also emphasized that in the meantime of historic architectures' protection, it also should to protect the environment of around. Religious architectures as one of great characters of Harbin's historic architectures, the question how to protect the building itself, how to protect and utilize environment around has been a research task in recent years. In the writer's opinion, the reflection of the architecture's distinguishing feature of a city, should b the outcome of the architecture itself and its surround environment and regional culture's perfect combination.This dissertation, at the beginning, introduced the trends of the involved research from home to abroad; in the second chapter, it mainly set forth the result of the practical survey of outer environment of Harbin's religious architectures in modern times; in the three chapter, the expounding of "the Image of the City","Genius Loci" and "the Design of Outer Space" makes a theoretical support for the dissertation's research; in the fourth section, it recommended the destination,principle and countermeasure of protection and utilization; in the fifth chapter, on the basis of sites' survey and the research of related theories and methods from home to abroad, it have carried out a deep analysis on the means and tactics of the protection and utilization of the outer environment of Harbin's religious architectures in modern times. Besides, on the basis of the classification of religious architectures' outer environment, it made a discussion on specific designated tactics for different environmental types. At the same time, it combined the realistic cases to test and verify the practicability of the theory, so as to find out more scientific and practicable tactics of the protection and utilization of the outer environment of Harbin's regional architectures in modern times.
