The Research On Religious Architectures In Yuanling

Yuanling is a historic waterway-transportation center town,known as the "Western Gateway","The key of Nantian," Once,it was the political,economic and cultural center of the western of Hunan Province,because it is on the boundary of Han nationality and the minority in southwestern of China,so many different cultures are gathering here.By the end of the feudal society,as the Western religious culture reached here,made this place take on a coexistence scene which the traditional culture,minority culture and Western cultural all alive here.Religious buildings as an important building type,both in the East and the West,represents the high level of construction at that times,so study of religious buildings can clearly understand the specific historical background of social overall development level.And the different religious architecture represented different religious culture,it affects all aspects of the society in the spiritual level.In the study of religious architecture in Yuanling,found the differences between all kinds of religious buildings,clarifies the feudal society since the late Yuanling building development process,and religious buildings in Yuanling building development.In this paper,the religious architecture of Yuanling County as the object of study,analysis and comparison of the coexistence of Buddhism,Taoism,Christianity,Catholicism and Islam in Yuanling County,the five types of religious religious buildings.The full text is divided into six chapters: Chapter One introduces the background,purpose and significance of the research and the research methods;the second chapter introduced the Historical and cultural background of Yuanling.Chapter three introduced five kind of religion and religious buildings of the history and present situation in Yuanling;chapter four compared.the differences and characteristics of five kinds of religious architecture in six microscopic ways;the fifth chapter mainly discusses the influence of religious buildings of local architectural;the sixth chapter discussed religious buildings conservation issues.This paper makes it clear about the main history of the religious buildings in Yuanling,and focus on comparative study of their characteristics,and puts forward to "use" in place of "protection" for religious buildings to provide reasonable protection.
