Cable-stayed bridge developes very quickly Starting form the 20th century 1950s, cable-stayed bridge is highly redundant structure, cable-stayed bridge has a large of freedom in aspect of design and construction differing form other bridge type. It could came optimized structure 'stress through of adjusting cable force. Along with the increasing of the span, the forces have more important influence on the distribution of intemal force of the main beam and bridge tower, and they have become the key point in the design and construction of the cable-stayed bridge.Based on Xinyuan bridge of Yanji city, first of all, the paper summarizes basic calculate methods for rational cable force under dead load, then cable force is calculated by the least bending strain energy and the least sum of bending, tensing and pressing strain energy, finally, the rational cable force was determined through regulating cable force. Then trial method based on the forward analysis is used to determine the initial cable force of Xinyan cable-stayed bridge in the paper. In the end, the paper makes use of influence matrix method to rectify cable force of the completed status of the cable-stayed bridge.Cable force determined by influence matrix method based on the least strain energy of cable-stayed bridge compares with cable force offered by design institute, margin is within 7.77%, anastomose thing is all right, it illuminate that cable force determined by influence matrix method is rational, it provides profitable method for similar project with determining of rational cable force.
