With rapid economic expansion and growing attention to traditional culture, the cultural connotation and atmosphere have been more and more selected in the avenue architecture. Apparently, street is both a space frame and a transportation artery of an urban. And Pedestrian Street is a primary focus in representing avenue image. In a way, the shopping street not only represents the looks of a city but also carries with its future. Therefore, a concentrated expression of rich cultural connotation should be the construction of the city pedestrian street. The jewel of the street surely belongs to the sculpture sketch which embodied the spirit of the whole street. Also it is an intuitive cultural connotation of the street. Through the study of the contemporary development of Commercial Street and its design principles as well, this paper analyzes the present situation and development of commercial Pedestrian Street worldwide, combining with the analysis and verification of the practical project, and then summarizes the application of regional culture in sculpture design as well as sculpture design principle in Commercial Street. The paper is designed to explore a system of principles and methods employed on how to achieve both cultural continuity and environment integration of commercial street sculpture. It is an exploratory study of a good combination of commerciality, artistry and traditional culture.
