In view of the insufficiency of the existing evaporative cooling air-conditioning system,this article presents a new system form,which is a closed cooling tower(CCT) with an indirect evaporative cooler(IEC).Through the establishment of IEC's and CCT's mathematical model,the calculation and the analysis to IEC+CCT were carried on.As can be seen from the computed result,the outlet's circulating cooling water temperature are decreased using IEC+CCT than using CCT only.And,the wet and dry bulb temperature difference is larger,the cooling water temperature drop is larger.This shows that the combined system of IEC+CCT is more suitable forms of application in China's northwestern region.In order to further study and description of the applicability of IEC+CCT in our country,this article takes the national 50 main cities as stuty object and obtains a table.,the table is dividing those cities into having a very good,a good and a poor performance three area,which is based on the cooling water temperature drop conquering at any rate.From the table,may see,the cooling performance very good city basically concentrates in the Northwestern Region using IEC+CCT,however,the using effect in coastal and Northeast's partial urban is bad.Finally,this article also simply introduced the combined system of IEC+CCT of new application in free-cooling.Obviously,the new combined system form has the huge superiority in environmental protection and the energy conservation,so it will have broad development prospects.
