The substance of the earthquake disaster is the disaster caused by civil destruction. It is the main vehicle of earthquake disaster.So Civil Engineering means is the primary means of disaster prevention and mitigation.In order to guarantee that the structure has the sufficient ability to resist earthquake disaster in life-span,we must grasp the dynamic response of the structure which excited by the certain earthquake load.The input of certainty ground motion is the requirement of the development of seismic analysis methods of long-span structures.Therefore it is necessary to simulate ground motion which has some characteristic parameters and meet specific site conditions and spatial correlation."Simulation of Earthquake Accelerations"(SEAS 1.0)has been developed by Zhang,a software matching the book named"Simulation of Correlation Ground Motions for Engineering Design"which is composed by Yang and Tian.As the adjustment of the core program,as well as to enable the stability,easy operation,so the"Simulation of Earthquake Accelerations"(SEAS 1.1)is developed.The Wenchuan Earthquake suddenly occurred in May 12,2008 which caused enormous losses.In order to understand the laws of building damage,lessons learned, especially to provide useful suggestions for reconstruction and codes amendment,a survey in Dujiangyan has been conducted.A number of important conclusions has been gotten.With the beginning of the development and state-of-the-art of the ground motion's features and artificial generation,the thesis addresses the problems to work out in the simulating ground motion study.Then the situation of the Wenchuan Earthquake and the significance of survey of seismic damage are introduced.In the chapter 2,the basic theory of the simulation of correlated earthquake ground motion is introduced from four part:Phase difference spectrum or phase derivatives and non-stationary characteristics of ground motion,Generation earthquake ground motion and response spectrum matching based on phase difference spectrum or phase derivatives,Spatial variety of earthquake ground motion field,Generation of spatial correlated earthquake ground motion field and response spectrum matching.In the chapter 3,the addition of the menu of Help,the solution of instability of the program,the adjustment of methods and model parameters,and the improvement of the graphics display have been presented.Also the steps of typical non-stationary earthquake ground simulation have been given.And as an example,the simulation of ground motion of National Stadium has been given.In the chapter 4,the methods and contents of scientific investigation on engineering seismic damage after the earthquake has been introduced,the seismic damage data of Dujiangyan which is a seriously disastrous area in Sichuan has been analyzed and summarized.By analyzing the data and images,the evolution of buildings' anti-seismic performance under different seismic norms of different periods,an analysis on the anti-seismic performance difference between different forms of structures,the reasons for the differences were presented.The characteristics of the destruction of structures with different stories are included.The characteristics of seismic damage of structures in this earthquake were summed up.
