Urban rail transit has many particular advantages, such as large capacity, low energy consumption and low pollution, etc. However, before forming urban rail transit network, urban rail transit network should enlarge the attracting passenger flow scope with conventional public traffic radiation function in order to increase urban rail transit attraction and perform urban rail transit potential sufficiently. In the background of low-density rail transit network, rationally planning conventional public traffic system of feeder rail transit not only could satisfy the need of the passengers and is better for rail passenger flow distribution, but also could develop a public traffic system of equilibrium, convenience and comfort and promote the sustainable development of urban traffic.This paper firstly analyses characteristics of various transfer manners in the rail transit station and suggests the method of determining the rational feeder area of conventional public traffic in feeder rail transit and then calculates rational proportion of pedestrian transportation mode and competition transportation mode by the use of distributing rate curve method and Logit function model respectively based on analysis of the features of aggregate model and disaggregate model in order to determine passenger flow prediction calculation formula of feeder bus.The public traffic system planning of feeder rail transit has a key of station and network planning. Therefore, based on analysis of setting condition and scale of feeder bus station, this paper studies the location planning method of feeder bus station and establishes the station location model of the least construction cost and the shortest passenger trip distance and improves particle swarm optimization algorithm of dynamic adjustment of inertia weight. Simultaneously, this paper discusses the public traffic network optimization method and then establishes new added feeder bus route optimization model considering optimum objects and constraints conditions.Finally, this paper establishes a comprehensive evaluation index system of feeder bus planning schemes and determines the best feeder planning scheme. Then relevant theories and methods are applied to the feeder bus planning of Xiegang rail station on the 1st line in Hefei to verify the feasibility and rationality of above research methods.
