As an important basis component, cylindrical roller bearings are widely used in various rotary machineries. The working performances of the bearings often affect behaviors of machineries system. In this dissertation, the study on the bearing mechanical characteristics and its numerical simulation is helpful not only to enrich the basic theory of bearing, but also to theoretically guide bearing testing.Firstly, the contact between the rollers of cylindrical roller bearing and the inner or outer ring has been studied. The geometric parameters of the contact area, contact stress, as well as the formula of the elastic deformation have been established by Hertz flexibility contact theory. Secondly, based on former theory, a static bearing load distribution model has been established, a dynamic bearing load distribution model has been established through the assumption of virtual roller. The law of the static and dynamic load distribution affected by the clearance, load, velocity and roller number have been established. Thirdly, based on the Lundberg-Palmgren fatigue life theory, a bearing fatigue life model has been established, the law of the different structural and the load parameters on bearing fatigue life can be concluded. At last, based on the theoretical contact analysis and the load distribution analysis, static finite element simulation of the maximum load roller and the bearing have been completed, dynamic finite element simulation of the bearing has been completed. It is shown that the theoretical solution and test data are consistent with the finite element analysis results. With the increasing of the radial load and the centrifugal force, the maximum load roller and the bearing contact stress increase; the maximum equivalent stress of the roller and inner ring will increase with the increasing of speed and load and with the reducing of the roller number; the maximum equivalent stress of the inner ring will increase with the increase of support intensity. To sum up, the load distribution of the cylindrical roller bearing, the fatigue life and the numerical simulation have been studied in this dissertation, which are important for theoretical and engineering application of cylindrical roller bearing.
