Long-distance aerodynamic extinguishing cannon is a very effective tool in fighting against large-scale forest fires, but the long-distance aerodynamic extinguishing cannon generates larger recoil when shooting, so that the shooting accuracy and mobility reduced. So reducing the impact of recoil is the key problem to improve the overall performance of long-distance aerodynamic extinguishing cannon.The project comes from the State Ministry of Science and Technology category of special public-funded projects, " Fire fighter gas cannon-fire engine-fire extinguishing bomb system." The purpose of research is to develop a buffer system of high-performance to achieve the requirement of less recoil and short ride away when long-distance aerodynamic extinguishing cannon longer range, larger power and high-speed launches in a row.First of all, the paper analyzes the domestic and international investigation of buffer system for the the long-distance aerodynamic extinguishing cannon. According to the construction feature and the structure design of the traditional spring buffer system of the long-distance aerodynamic extinguishing cannon, a new type buffer system scheme of friction and energy absorption to be used to reduce the impact of recoil to the gun body of the long-distance aerodynamic extinguishing cannon. Secondly, According to the program, The Long-distance aerodynamic extinguishing cannon friction energy absorption structure of the buffer system has been designed and its mathematical model has been established. Compared with the traditional spring buffer system of Long-distance aerodynamic extinguishing cannon, recoil laws of the two programs of the long-distance aerodynamic extinguishing cannon have been obtained. Thirdly, the two buffer programs on the basis of the actual physical parameters has been simulate based on the virtual prototype simulation software ADAMS. The simulation results indicated that the impact of recoil of the long-distance aerodynamic extinguishing cannon with friction and energy absorption of the buffer system on the gun body was significantly reduced. The simulation results and theoretical analysis have better consistency, the program proved that the two long-distance aerodynamic extinguishing cannons analysis of the accuracy, the data and conclusions we got can provide valuable reference for the long-distance aerodynamic extinguishing cannon designl.Finally, through ANSYS software, stress and strain of the key parts of the system were analyzed, according to the result, the buffer structure of the system was improved. As a results of the calculation, stress and strain of the parts were greatly reduced, and the the validity of improved structure was verified.
