Special-shaped column structures contain special-shaped column frame structure and special-shaped column frame-shell wall structure. Special-shaped column structures are developing quickly and widely used currently in china due to its flexible cross section types. For the purchase of architectural function, the length and the height of the structure are increasing gradually, while for the beauty and practical needs, the construction joint is required not to be set or seldom set. The diversity of member types and plane make cracking prevention becomes one of the key links in structure design.Temperature effect is one of the reasons that lead to crack. If temperature deformation can not be deal with properly, the structure will crack, even affect the regular service. So it is needed to consider the effects imposed by temperature. With the higher demands on structure function, special-shaped column is widely used by its flexible section types, and therefore, cracking in special-shaped structure is on of the problems needed to be studied.Based on the domestic and abroad researches, this thesis represents the comprehensive case study and analysis of temperature effect of the special-shaped column frame-shell wall structure under the influence of seasonal temperature and daylight temperature. And the characteristics of the distribution of temperature effect is obtained. The result of the analysis and computation shows that the crack is caused by temperature effect. Then, the temperature response feature of typical special-shaped column frame structure and special-shaped column frame-shell wall structure has been analysed, and the influence of member size and shear wall on special-shaped column structures is obtained. Finally, This thesis has carried on the analysis and comparison of special pole framework and rectangular pole framework under temperature effect. In the end, temperature stress of slab is gone on regression analysis on the basis of the result of finite element analysis. Then simplified formula of the temperature stress in the slab is obtained.
