| As the urbanization process in China quickly accelerated and integrated pattern of urban agglomerations constantly improved, integration of inter-city transit has now become one of the most important tasks in development of urban agglomerations. For this reason, the research content discussed in this thesis is the inter-city transit network design problem in urban agglomerations.In this thesis, a bi-level programming model for inter-city transit network design in urban agglomerations is proposed. Then a method based on genetic algorithm is introduced to obtain the optimal solution. A qualitative and quantitative method is proposed for the inter-city transit network design. Aiming to maximize the total social benefit, a bi-level programming model based on efficiency and equity for the inter-city transit network's layout is established. For the solution of this bi-level programming model, it is very difficult to obtain the optimal solution because of its own an NP-hard problem that a method based on genetic algorithm with Matlab-toolbox is introduced in this thesis. Then detailed steps for the algorithm are provided. Furthermore, an example is provided in this thesis for testing this model. Simulation shows this method is feasible in inter-city transit network design.The major measures in this thesis include the following areas:System analysis method. The method of system analysis is taken to consider the transport needs characteristics of integrated inter-city transit and requirements of service properties.Mathematical modeling method. The characteristics on service of public transport in urban agglomerations are fully considered that different indicators are used separately to quantify the characteristics. In this thesis, a method based on genetic algorithm is introduced to simulate and obtain the optimal solution.The specific planning theories and methods for inter-city transit network design are very rare at the present time. In this thesis, a mathematical model which is suitable for the general inter-city transit network design is proposed based on the actual characteristics of the urban agglomerations in China, which provides a strong theory support for inter-city transit network design in China with a theory and utility value. |
