At the end of 2007, the survey showed that there are more than 520,000 bridges in our country,more than 10,000 bridges of which are in critical condition. Existing bridges safety evaluation method directly related to the healthy development of China's traffic-building is increasingly becoming is related to the healthy development of China's traffic-building an important research direction.Through the bridge structure safety evaluation, bridge capacity is analyzed and assessed, based on which, the work state of entire bridge structure is evaluated and identified, In time for the bridge between the management, conservation, maintenance and reinforcement to provide a scientific and reliable basis for decision-making, ensure the safe operation of bridges and the road network to maintain a higher level of service, play a larger economic and social benefits.This paper aim to build evaluation vector of bridge base index and eval- uation system of bridge safety index, to provide guidance for bridge retrofit. In combination with the National Natural Science Foundation Project (50 478032) ''study on time-dependent reliability of Existing reinforced concrete bridges.The main work is as follows.(1)Summing up and review of bridge safety evaluation method.(2)According to built up the evaluation model of Reinforced Concrete Bridge and determine base index of evaluation system combined with bridge work stage. The reference standards of evaluation vectors of index are given based on code for maintenance of highway and culvers.( 3)Use fuzzy comprehensive evaluation in bridge safety evaluation,the selection of membership function, the processing of evaluation index and the processing of failure of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation are discussed.(4) Application of bridge safety evaluation is described, and effect of different of evaluation model and weight is discussed. Combined with test of Nan-ping bridge ,improved assessment methods.
