The unit coordinated control system is the most complex automatic control system in power plants. It is very important for the safe operation and energy conservation of the unit. This paper used a series of practical new technologies to optimize the unit coordinated control system for the problem of actual production of Huarun Cangzhou thermal power unit. Finally the system achieved good controlling effect. On this basis, this paper studied the dynamic matrix control algorithm principle and made improvement on the algorithm. Then it used multivariate dynamic matrix control algorithm in the coordinated control system, made simulation research on 300MW unit mathematical model to verify the dynamic quality and robust performance of the algorithm. According to the structure and characteristics of Symphony DCS system, the paper put forward a method using advanced control algorithm with DCS system to control actual objects which laid the foundation for its future practical application.
