In thermal Power Plant, superheated steamer of main steam control system of boiler work in high temperature and high pressure. Stability of main steam temperature is very important to security and economy of unit operation.Therefore,It is very strict to the control of main steam temperature.The parameters setting of PID controller is essentially the combinationand optimization of multi-variables.In order to solve the shortcoming of current methods for parameters setting that can only deal with it ccording to the single requirement of system,this article provides a method based on genetic algorithm (GA),which makes use of the adaptation function of GA that can include the whole requirements of system, to meet the demands of system.Finally,the paper simulates and compares several parameters setting methods through an example of the Power Plant boiler overheated temperature control system and the result shows that the method based on GA is superior to current methods.
