Power transformer is one of the most important electric apparatus in electric power system, and its operating state affect directly the safety and stability of power system. Building an on-line monitoring system for chromatography is one of effective methods that may decrease failure rate of power transformer. The formation mechanism of gases dissolved in transformer oil, the traditional methods and artificial intelligence methods of domestic and foreign-based gases dissolved in transformer oil are analyzed. An on-line monitoring system for power transformer oil chromatography data is designed. Power transformer oil chromatography data is transmitted by GPRS network. According to the actual needs of the analysis, this paper used graphic method, IEC Three-ratio Method and the gray relationship diagnosis model to perform the analysis of DGA data. Finally, real examples show that the proposed diagnosis method can really improve the chromatography-based transformer fault diagnosis accuracy and reliability.
