| Facing the traditional energy depletion and the global environment worsening, the nuclear energy as one kind of important pure new energy has been recognized by common people. It is mostly hopeful to solve one of human energy crisis by further developing and using nuclear energy.At present, Chinese government is attaching highly importance to the adjustment of energy structure, and develops the nuclear power positively. According to the national eleventh Five-Year Plan, the nuclear Power capacity installed will amount to about 40,000,000 kilowatts up to 2020. The nuclear Power development causes to the entire circulation of the nuclear industry again. The nuclear industry department, the environmental protection department, then sanitary supervision department, the customs surveillance and so on will need many nuclear radiation monitoring instruments. At present, however, the nuclear radiation monitoring meters used in these departments are mostly made by foreign countries. Therefore, it is extremely significant to invent and research the advanced nuclear radiation monitoring meters with high performance.The development at present and the developing tendency in future of the domestic and foreign nuclear radiation monitoring meters is analyzed in the paper. According to some shortcomings of domestic nuclear radiation monitoring meters such as the low measuring range, the low versatility, the unwieldiness, with the development of the advanced nuclear detection technology and the electronic technology, a portable X-γdose rate continuous monitoring meter with wide measuring range, which is used with a controller adapted to two kinds of detectors, is proposed in this paper. The research of portable X-γdose rate continuous monitoring meter with wide measuring range is introduced in detail by five parts:1. The selection of detectors by theoretical analysis, and the purchase of the detectors including plastic scintillator detector and Geiger Muller tube;2. The design of current/frequency converted circuit with plastic scintillator detector, and screening circuit with Geiger Muller tube;3. The design of the hardware of control system Based on Single-Chip Microcomputer;4. The design of software of control system Based on Single-Chip Microcomputer, including the GUI in computer by Visual Basic 6.0;5. The adjustment of the Instrument, performance 0f the Instrument. The test experiment indicated that This instrument has many advantages such as low power consumption,wide measuring range. So this instrument can be used to monitor the environment from the environmental level to the protected level. |
