| With the development of smart grid, smart meters have been received the unprecedented attention as the smart grid infrastructure. The most prominent advantage of smart meterscompared with traditional meters is the function of two-way communication. Advancedmetering infrastructure(AMI) is a comprehensive system for the measurement, collection, storage, analysis and manage the information of using power, which is constructed under this background. AMI is one of the important mark in smart grid. And AMI system consists of three sub-systems as follows:smart meters, two-way communication network and meter data management system. The article designed an electricity meter gateway system for smart grid according this thought.This paper summarized the development process, results and status of the technology related to smart meters in home and abroad. The paper pointed out the meaning for building the electricity meter gateway system system oriented to smart grid and analysised its application prospects in smart grid construction. The paper presents the overall design of the smart grid meter gateway, and system hardware design and software development. The microcontroller-STC10F08XE is used for the MCU of the gateway system. And the system has also expanded the energy measurement module, LCD module, ZigBee communication module, clock module and PLC module. System has achieved the acquisition of electrical power parameters, communication with electrical appliances and dispatch center and has also achieved the interaction function between the users and the system. |
