With the appearance of high speed trains in recent years, the working condition of high speed traction motor is strictly inspected. During the operation of high-speed train, the rolling bearing is the key components of a safe operation, it is also one of the most vulnerable parts. Its problems directly related to transportation safety, so it is necessary to do durability test and failure diagnosis to high-speed traction motor bearing regularly. When locally scathed, the bearings would bump the other parts periodically with the result that the seasonal impulses come into being. With band enough broad to overcast each connatural vibrations and thereby the stationary vibrations turn into transients. Excellent effects can not be obtained by using regular Fourier analyzing the nonstationary vibration signals produced by the wrong rolling bearing. Having a multi-scale resolution in time and frequency, the Wavelet transform is endowed with the indisputable hegemony in signal processing especially for transients.Aiming at the failure diagnosis of the rolling bearings, this thesis would devote most of its efforts to the following: Introducing systematically the vibration mechanism of the rolling bearings and the vibration character of typical failure, building vibration signal model with single defect on each component and analysis; Expatiating on the essential theories and the applications in signal processing of the Wavelet transform; Expatiating on principle of envelope demodulation; Introducing the bearing test machine and the bearing test content; Showing the bearing test data, Diagnosing the failure of the rolling bearing through the Wavelet analysis. Through processing and analysis, the diagnosis result is satisfactory.
