The Research On The Strategy And Method Of Design To Return To The Street Life

"A city is active if it have active streets. And vice versa. "City streets as an important component of the public space not only charged with the function of urban traffic, more importantly, it is the place of city life. However, with the urban development, city streets space has more and more problems. Traditional street space damaged and street life is blanking gradually. The full and rich life is streets longer exits.This paper collects and summarizes the important domestic and foreign information and theories related to the street space design. And it clearly defines the key concepts to ensure the depth and accuracy, study the characteristics and developments of different streets to lay the theory foundation, study the Chinese traditional streets, makes the investigation on typical streets by the methods of environmental behavior studies to get the first-hand data and summarizes the problems for the streets study.
