At present, expressway gradually entry into period of the overhaul and reconstruction in our country. The result is a lot of traffic organization problems of traffic organization in works period and works sections, such as traffic congestions and many traffic accidents.So,it is urgent to study the smooth-traffic project evaluation for overhaul of expressway.This thesis entirely analyses domestic & aboard researches and engineering. Proposed add analyzed organizational framework for the traffic organization of works, to solves the problem of smooth-traffic in Works sections. According to the thorough investigation material, and unified the theory has carried on the analysis to the expressway construction road section transportation characteristic and the security feature, has divided the construction road section, and has carried on the transportation simulation using the Vissim software to the Works sections. This thesis entirely analyses Elements of traffic organization, such as principle of project, traffic organization, smooth-traffic scheme, traffic management and traffic divergence. According to car ergonomic features and road construction to calculate the length of works sections, including: the warning section, the transition section, the median opening space section works sections the spacing section and the ending section. Thus has provided the rationale for the construction road section length.Through compare and analysis on project evaluation targets system, saturation degree, average speed, speed deviation, traffic density and average travel delay of works sections are defined to be evaluation targets, and given the scope of the evaluation targets value.
