Large thickness of overall cement stabilized aggregate base is one of the main base structure highways in our country. At the best of the field test and analysis in highway major repair works, then combine the existing research results. We studied the features of such base structure damage and its mechanism. The results show that non-continuity between base layers reduces use quality and lifetime. Stratified layers construction will cause the weak side in practical application; it is the main reason of poor entirely quality. The emergence of weak layer change the stress in base changed from designing overall layer to a number of thin-layers. The structural calculations show that increase the thickness or add the upper base thickness can reduce adverse effects caused by weak layer in structure. In addition, in the existing compaction condition, increasing the thickness of the layer will reduce the overall performance of the structure .It is a promise that educing the effect can improve the single-layer thickness. Therefore, the study of different effects on the whole variation of compaction under the conditions of performance of cement stabilized aggregate. The results show that the existence of differences compaction between upper and lower will reduce pavement performance. However, we can reduce the difference between upper and lower by improving the upper compaction. In this way, we ensure the performance of lower structure and improve the pavement performance in base. Finally, at the base of study, we verify the results by combining the test road of large thickness of cement stabilized aggregate base in Liang-Long Expressway in Zhejiang Province. The research results have a certain significance to improve the large thickness of overall cement stabilized aggregate base structure.
