With the increasing of traffic volume and axis load, as well as the occurrence ofcanalized traffic, rutting, which is becoming more and more common, has been the exigentproblem among the early diseases of asphalt pavement to be solved. Based on the in-depthstudy of preventive treatment against rutting both at home and abroad, Antiru-I and PRPLAST.S are adopted to discuss the anti-rutting additive in influence and modifiedmechanism of the performance asphalt binder and asphalt mixture.According to the complexity, economy and test results of pavement performance, wetmodification and dry modification are employed to research the characteristics of Antiru-Ianti-rutting additive, and the results show that the dry modification is superior to the wet one.And then, with the asphalt mixture added Antiru-I and PR PLAST.S, experimental studies ofpavement performances such as high-temperature stability, low temperature anti-cracking,water stability and anti-aging are carried out, and comparing with matrix and SBS modifiedasphalt mixture, it’s found that asphalt mixture added Antiru-I can greatly improve thehigh-temperature stability, along with some but limited improvement of the others.Considering the modified purpose of anti-rutting additive, the reference standard ofperformance tests of asphalt mixture added anti-rutting additive is proposed, that ishigh-temperature stability of asphalt mixture should be based on the technical requirements ofmodified asphalt mixture, as well as low temperature anti-cracking depended upon thetechnical standard of matrix asphalt mixture. Combining with the results of rutting test andlow temperature bending test, suitable dosage ranges of Antiru-I and PR PLAST.S in differentclimate zones are determined. Taking all pavement performances into comprehensiveconsideration, the optimum dosage of anti-rutting additive is determined by multi-level fuzzycomprehensive evaluation model, which recomends the optimum dosage of Antiru-I and PRPLAST.S is6‰and4‰respectively.
