At present, there are still some deficiencies of the transit assignment model which is suit to the lage scale network in taking into the transit impedance comprehensively and modeling of the congestion, which influence the model effect. Therefore, this thesis does systemly research on using the transit equilibrium assignment model in the platform of EMME/2 which is applied abroad. This thesis brings forward that the transit impedance should include walk time, board/alight time, in-vehicle time, wait time, transit fare and transfer costs, and presents the transit impedance detailed modeling method in EMME/2 using its relative modules; Based on the network representation method which was presented by Spiess in 1984, the wait time was function of the effective frequency, which was considered as the decreasing function of the transit volume. As a result, the congestion effect on wait time is simulated; Based on the above research, and starting off from the transit equilibrium condition, the transit assignment problem is formulated as the variational inequality model in the space of link and node impedance; Subsequently, based on the diagonalization method, this thesis presents a 3 circulations iteration solution algorithm. At last, the model and its algorithm decribed above was implemented in the platform of EMME/2 by its macro language, and the effect of application was validated by examples. The innovation points of this thesis are presented as following: presenting the represent method of transit impedance and its implemention in EMME/2 in congested network; formulating a variational inequality model in the space of link and node impedance; designing a 3 circulations iteration solution algorithm which is based on the diagonalization method ;implementing the model and algorithm in EMME/2.
