Traditional steel reinforced concrete column is usually rectangular(squareness) section column, it has been used in the highrise and super-highrise building extensively. If we put steel into reinforced concrete special-shaped column, then it can become steel reinforced concrete special-shaped column. Comparing steel reinforced concrete special-shaped column with reinforced concrete special-shaped column, under the same section condition, steel reinforced concrete special-shaped column increase the bearing capacity and ductility largely because of containing more steel, and it has the advantage of steel reinforced concrete column and reinforced concrete special-shaped column together, so it can enlarge the applied scopes of special-shaped column effectively.A new typical solid-web steel reinforced concrete special-shaped column is designed, for researching the mechanical behavior of the new typical member further deeply, by the tests of 3 steel reinforced concrete cross-shaped columns and 1 reinforced concrete cross-shaped column and 3 steel reinforced concrete L-shaped columns and 1 reinforced concrete L-shaped column. The comparing of failure mechanism and axial pressure bearing capacity and ductility performance between steel reinforced concrete special-shaped column and reinforced concrete special-shaped column has been done under differ steel ratio. The result of the testing show that the bearing capacity and ductility of the member increase as the steel ratio.The research of the testing show that the steel and reinforced concrete can keep working together from loading to concrete cracking until break down under axial pressure. Based the testing comparing and theory analysis, the formula under axial pressure bearing capacity of steel reinforced concrete cross-shaped column and L-shaped column haveb been produced. The results of theoretical analysis are proved to fit those of the testing, and the ductility coefficient had been compared about steel reinforced concrete special-shaped column and reinforced concrete special-shaped column, ANSYS program is used to finite elememt analysis about steel reinforced concrete special-shaped column and reinforced concrete special-shaped column. The results of ANSYS are proved to fit those of the testing. So the conclusion had been gain that the bearing capacity and ductility of steel reinforced concrete special-shaped column is better than that of reinforced concrete special-shaped column and the new typical solid-web steel reinforced concrete special-shaped column can be used in the engineering widely.
