At present, with the applications of tractor in civilian and military field have both developed rapidly, the demand of security of the tractor has increasd more and more. Frequent traffic accidents have caused huge casualties and property losses, so people have realized the importance of the safety for tow tractor-aircraft system.The safety of tractor-aircraft system mailly includes three parts, the security of traction mechanism and the safety of running track and the safety of aircraft front wheel. The engineers mainly simulate and anlyze to study the safety for tow tractor-aircraft system through dynamics. In China, because of the late start in the tractor research, the reliability and safety aspects of tractors have some defects and there is scarce research on towing operation. So the simulation of security in towing operation has become an important and urgent study.This project is put forward in this background. This paper has carried out mainly the following aspects of work:Firstly, this paper has simplified the dynamic model of tractor-aircraft system and also constructed and verified it.Secondly, this paper has finished the simulation and analysis of the virtual prototype model and calculated the magnitude of the traction in different conditions as well as the running track of the aircraft and verifed the security of the system.Lastly, based on the convenient development interface of ADAMS and the successful simulation and analysis of towing operation, this paper has developed a parameterized automatic anlysis system which can greatly improve the efficiency of the design and shotrten the design cycle.Through the above study, this project has put forward a three-pronged approach to verify the security of towing operation for tow tractor-aircraft system, despite of the lack of information on similar issues in the case. The dynamic model established can well fulfill the simulation of tow tractor-aircraft system in the two conditions: along the arbitrary path and passing the uplift. The parameterized simulation and anlysis system for tow tractor-aircraft can meet the actural engineering requirements and the system developed may also greatly improve the design efficiency and reduce the design cycle. It si expected that the results of the research on this topic will play a guiding role for the design and manufacturing in tow tractor.
