In this paper, based on the state of the art of researches and applications about frame-supported short-leg shear wall structure , a series of models are created by using universal finite element program ETABS. The lateral stiffness ratio and seismic behavior of frame-supported short-leg shear wall structure are studied mainly.Firstly, on the basis of the criterion, a formula of the lateral stiffness ratio is pointed out considering shear stiffness and flexes stiffness; according to actual project and finite element models, the effect of different lateral stiffness ratios to the dynamic characterizer and seismic behavior of structure is investigated; the rules are summarized and the validity of the formula is proved simultaneity.Secondly, three models of the transfer story located at the second, the fourth and the sixth floor are analyzed; the vibration mode and seismic behavior of structure impacted by the height of transfer story are discussed; the differences of three models'results are studied; three ground motion records (El wave, TAF-2 wave, Lan zhou wave) are used to calculate elastic time-history analysis; the behavior of structure on the direct seismic waves is surveyed and the results are compared with those of modal response analysis. The purpose of this paper is to provide reference for the future study and design, through investigating the effect of the lateral stiffness ratio and height of transfer story to frame-supported short-leg shear wall structure.
