In the modern power network,the security and stability during power system' s operating is required higher and more strictly,with the raising of the extra-high-pressure,high-capacity and long-distance power transmission line.Distance relay is the primary element of the transmission line protection,the performance characteristic of which has a direct and vital affect on the security and stability during power system' s operating.For adapting to requirement for working stably in the modern extra-high-pressure power network,microprocessor-based distance relays are required higher and higher on not only hardware but software.The development of the high-speed digital signal processor technology,is the foundation for the exploitation of a high-speed and high-performance protection system based microprocessor.In this background,we design a dual-processor parallel computer protection system by DSP chip and ARM processor.DSP chip is responsible for controlling date acquisition,sampling date processing and achieve protection.ARM microprocessor assumes the management of man-machine interface and communicates data with DSP through the serial ports.Rich communication interface makes conmunication with the host comuputer and downloading settings flexibly and conveniencly.For the more applications of new microprocessor-based protection,and the operating device is not allowed for testing and training,the device can also be used as a test of teaching systems for students to learn the intemal structure,and download self-designed programs by host computer,corresponding to complete protection test.This paper studies the overall software and hardware design,including DSP2812,LPC2220,switch input/output circuit,date acquisition circuit,communication and network interface circuit,the man-machine contact surface display,in the article to various part of electic circuit funtion,the characteristic as well as the primary device choice,the pin connection has carried on the detailed introduction.The paper completed a minimum system design based LPC2220 for monitoring and management system.For the specificity of the application in the power system,we increase a start circuit. This paper designs a simple man-machine interface,and gives the flow chart for the software design.It unifies real-time operating systemμC/OS-Ⅱand the modulation hardware design,and constitutes one software and hardware number system platform.Besides maximum limit enhanced the efficiency of development and reduced the waste of resource,it may also enhance its performance with regarding the platform and optimizing the platform software and hardware resources.And it also meets the complex application need day by day.
