With the rapid development of National Economy and Urban Constructive of our country, the conflict of the rare of land source is standing out day by day, In order to utilize the land effectively, advancement and exploitation of underground space and the construction of high-rise in urban develop rapidly. Accordingly, the project of foundation pit goes into lager scale and depth. Meanwhile, it is generally surrounded by dense buildings. The working space is very narrow and there are always some permanent construction and public service which must be protected. So it is important to forecast and control the deformation of foundation pit's surrounding buildings.Based on fore passed research, the common schemes of foundation pit dewatering and supporting have been introduced firstly in this paper, with their character and applicability. And then by analyzing the principles and basis of deep foundation pit supporting type optimization selection, fuzzy multi-index semi-structural theory is described and applied in the project of Taian Guohua-Shidai to obtain the best scheme.Secondly, with the help of the fluid-mechanical coupling function in 3-dimentional finite difference program FLAC3D, the 3-dimentional coupling analysis on deep foundation excavation and dewatering is carried out to analyze settlement of surrounding buildings considering different working conditions and some settlement regularity is obtained.Thirdly, real-time monitoring of foundation pit engineering is expounded in detial. On this base, a corresponding software has been programmed to processing monitoring data conveniently.Lastly, based on the foundation pit project of Taian Guohua-Shidai, 3-dimentional coupling simulation and real-time monitoring aiming at settlement of surrounding buildings are carried out. Afterwards, by comparing simulation results and field measured results , 3-dimentional coupling simulation is proved to be feasible and some useful conclusions are obtained.
