Ship collision avoidance has been a hot and difficult problem on the safety of shipping. For many years, influenced by sailing waters, condition, marine meteorology, traffic density, ship's own conditions and practical skills, some accidents such as ship collision, ran aground always happen. It seriously threats personnel safety and property losses. Particularly, with the recent prosperity of Chinese economy for foreign countries and continued development, it makes trade and transportation develop doubly. It brings lots of technical difficulties and unfavorable factors about the safety of ship navigation and effective collision .For example, when the ship at sea encounters many boat collision risk, ,the decision-making of the collision avoidance is not enough to only use the information which they observed themselves, their own knowledge, experience and work skills . Since the problem about ship collision avoidance involves the opportunity and the value of action taken. To be too earlier is unnecessary and to be too late will involve un-coordinating action and collision with the target vessel. So, in order to alleviate the driver's labor intensity and psychological burden, meet the needs of modern ship about the safety of automatic navigation, to study and use multi-sensor data fusion technology will still be of great practical significance. It will timely provide prediction or forecasting for the drivers which precise the location and sport status in relation to this shipping. The result will help the steersmen to prepare for avoiding collision ahead and lash-up measure.Owing to the influence of low probe precision of radars, electronic jamming, false alarm and low-altitude clutter, it usually makes some radars probe data uncompleted, imprecise, unreliable and even mutual-contradictory. This Paper discusses the methods from the aspect of application:â‘ Aiming at shipping movement and the time of collision avoidance in decision-making collision avoidance, this paper uses a mathematical model for ship collisionavoidance to compute two key elements------the DCPA and TCPA.â‘¡Using grey forecastingmodel to momentarily forecast the parameter of movement of the special shipping which is relative to this shipping in the next moment, and forecast the DCPA and TCPA.â‘¢Using the filter and multi-sensor data fusion technology, this paper predicts the target location and status to improve tracing precision of the system.The simulation results indicate that the ideas presented by this paper can improve the precision of tracing targets, and the collision avoidance results can be predicted before action taking.
