The Narrative Construction Of Memory Formulation In Urban Public Space

Citing the relevant theory and method of literary narration, this article analyzes the urban public special narrative design and generative strategies of memory through a brandy new perspective. Through the way of breaking the thinking model of separating space from its affairs and regarding the urban public space and daily affairs as an integrity ,this article will explore the narrative formulation model in urban public space with a purpose of building an inspirational and space identified urban space. With the fact that people's reorganization of space is based on the space memory ,this paper can help people evoke their life plots in their deep memory and regain a new space experience by narrative space design so that we can help them generate the space memory ,establish space identity and increase their space participant. Meanwhile, by searching for the converging point of narrative measures and special design, it can make urban space plot orientated, stimulate our emotional experience and can create an infectious space which can tell stories.This article aims at regarding the narration as an approach, considering memory formulation as an method to finally form an identified and highly infectious urban public space.The entire thesis has been classified into three different parts:The first and second chapters clearly define research content and scale by relevant theories .Meanwhile, by analyzing and summarizing the current domestic and overseas research situation and the relevant subjects'narrative theory and methods ,this article explores the introducing perspective and method toward narrative special design. This part provides a theoretical basis to the suggestion of narrative strategies in the following content.The third and fourth chapter elaborate the urban public narrative strategies from two aspects such as elements and genres. The third chapter suggests some design strategies in a level of vocabulary and grammar through the special narrative structural elements and combination connection while the fourth chapter has classified the urban public space into several narrative spaces such as"poetry type","essay type"and"novel type"to analyze and elaborate the narrative strategies in a level of genre.The fifth chapter anatomy some comprehensive cases mainly revealing the application of these narrative strategies in our practical experiences. Meanwhile, this paper has also suggested direction of development of this subject's follow up research.
