Abstract/Summary:
The electric power steering system(hereafter call it EPS) is a popular technique of current automobile electronic control system.Compare with traditional hydraulic power steering system,EPS completely substitutes for the hydraulic energy with electrical energy, furthermore,decreases the energy consumption of engine and the pollution to the environment. Reseach and development(R & D)of EPS is in coincidence with the titles of safety,environment protection and energy saving.Thereby,it really means a lot for nowadays and future.In order to thoroughly research and develop EPS,this article use hardware-in-loop simulation(hereafter call it HILS) combined with the real hardware equipment,designs and constructs a set of EPS HILS test platform which was tested effective by practice.Via the experiment of HILS platform,this article not only confirmed the possibility of EPS and the positive influence to automobile operational characteristics,but also confirmed some HILS' merits,such as better comprehensive nature,non-destructiveness,repeatability, security,economy,under control,non-climatic conditions limit,non-space limit,etc.All these can not be obtained by traditional laboratory.As the key of electeic control system,EPS' function of brekdown self-diagnosis is an emphasis ofmy paper too.Through doing EPS' breakdown self-diagnosis experiment by constructing HILS platform' electrically controlled parts,this article researched and discovered the breakdown self-diagnosis function of EPS deeply.
