Testing And Evaluation On The Old Cement Concrete Pavement And Study On Asphalt Overlay Technology

At present, a majority of cement concrete pavements have been mostly appearing damage to some extent. It is necessary to maintain or reconstruct the old cement concrete road. The asphalt overlay on old concrete pavement is one of the major rehabilitation ways, has the advantages of short work period, little influence on transportation, little investment and comfortable drive etc, which is a kind of simple and valid rehabilitation measure at home and abroad.According to entitative engineering, MianJiang road and YaAn road and GuangYuan road by the asphalt overlay on old concrete pavement in Sichuan province are studied in this paper.The article discussed all kinds of treatment measures relevant to damage of old cement concrete pavement on the base of investigation and evaluation detailed, described in the treatment measurements and control criteria. Based on experience and harvest obtained home and abroad, pavement structure of asphalt overlay is studied out by forecasting future traffic capacity, so the material composition design is considered as emphasis. Which include the application of materials of SMA-13 and geotextile and glass fiber geogrid etc, forms a complete set of techniques of adding the asphalt overlay on old cement concrete pavement, which all can provide some beneficial experience and references for project design of maintenance and reconstruction on the old cement concrete pavement later on.
