With high ability of load transferring and big integral rigidity of large and thick semi-rigid base, it was widely researched and used in many areas. According to present technical specification for construction of highway asphalt pavement, the structure of large and thick semi-rigid base needs to be constructed stratified, but it has vibrated its design original intention. As base bear loads from integrity to two thin-layers, furthermore, the weak step of the combination of layers was added. With the purpose of solving the above problems, it's of great theoretical and practical significance to make researches on the key construction of the large and thick cement stabilized aggregate.On the basis of analyzing vibratory roller and influencing the field compacting effects of vibratory roller, an exciting force vibrating tester machine which can be simulated the vibrating compacting equipment is independently developed and processed. Firstly, with the help of the big exciting forces, a systematic research was conducted on the material, mixture ratio as well as the pavement performance of cement stabilized aggregate; Secondly, large and thick cement stabilized aggregate testing highway is successfully paved on Handan section of Qing-Lan expressway; lastly, a profound study is conducted on the structure design of asphalt pavement and contact condition between layers of large and thick cement stabilized aggregate, in addition, with the method of life-cycle cost analysis, economical evaluation was done on the large and thick cement stabilized aggregate.The successful pavement of test highway and theoretical research has shown that the large and thick cement stabilized aggregate is more consistent with construction compared with the normal cement stabilized aggregate. Economical analysis of pavement structure which is based on the contact condition between layers has shown that asphalt pavement structure of big and thick cement stabilized aggregate have longer service life and excellent service compared to normal semi-rigid pavement system, there is no doubt that the economical and social effects will be of great significance.
