Mounted sealing ring has gradually become an important structure of mechanical seal ring because of enhancing the strength of seal ring, saving precious metals. So far, interference values and stress values of mounted sealing ring almost have been calculated through the interference fit formula and thick-walled cylinder theory. However, these formulas are in the range of flexibility, such as a long cylinder of simplicity, so do not fully coincide with the actual situation, which can not consider sealing surface friction heat, the friction surface state, as well as the fluid temperature and pressure, not to mention to study impact law on various factors of sealing characteristics. Therefore, the research on mounted properties of stationary ring and rotating ring is very important.In this paper, mounted stationary ring as the study of objects, its sealing characteristics are analyzed. Firstly, based on the principle of torque balance equation, interference fit formula is derived, and initially determine the limit scope of interference values. Secondly, numerical method using finite element analysis is introduced to study mounted sealing ring, simulates initial interference fits using contact elements and the equivalent temperature load, establishes a reasonable two-dimensional numerically axisymmetric model, finds the stress distribution of assembly of mounted sealing ring and proves that thick-walled cylinder theory is fit analysis of mounted sealing ring compared with thick-walled cylinder theory of analytic solution. Based on the pre-stressed assembly reasonable boundary conditions are imposed, to gain the finite element analysis in operation conditions. Then, according to non-dimensional formula of interference fit to determine the impact factors of sealing characteristics of mounted ring, such as interference values ratio,material, etc. By changing the size of interference values, the optimal range has been determined. By changing the thickness ratio and copulate material of stationary ring and stationary ring base, these impact factors on the sealing characteristics of the law are determined. In order to prevent deformation of stationary ring due to the torque caused by non-coincidence between the center of the copulate surface and the center of stationary ring, notch position and notch status is changed to analysis; In order to achieve design aim of the smallest contact area, the combination of length is changed, to determine the impact law of copulate length and notch on the sealing performance.In this paper, finite element method analysis to take all impact factors of sealing performance into account, draws in line with the actual situation of stress distribution,copulate face contact pressure,sealing end face axial deformation and temperature distribution, comes to the diversified factors of the impact law on the sealing performance, and obtains the optimal scope of interference values of the work status, so the result has some significant engineering guiding in designing mounted structural.
