The mollisol-foundation is always an important research area which is focused by among the geotectonic field of the world. It is for sure that we have to face many complex and technological task when we do kinds of constructions on mollisol-foundation. The Tianjin Binhai New Area, be close to Bohai Sea, has a high water table, huge moisture content, and has a profound mollisol layer, due to which the ground bearing capacity gets weak, the settlement distortion gets large and soil body differs a lot from characteristic.The paper, through investigating the climate characteristic, temperature, precipitation distribution, basic water system, vegetation condition, hydrological geology, the ca mollisol-foundation use of, geology characteristic and topographical distribution condition, summarize the characteristic of environment and engineering geology in Binhai district of Tianjin. According to the local investigation of stratum characteristic of mollisol-foundation in highways which constructed in Binhai district of Tianjin, the paper analyses the characteristic of stratum structure, soil layer and physics-mechanics, then, conclude the total characteristic of mollisol-foundation in Binhai district of Tianjin.Secondly, the paper, using basic numerical analyzing method such as least-squares procedure, does a numerical and regression analysis to study the main physics and mechanics data of mollisol-foundation in Binhai district of Tianjin. And, paper discussed the correlation of physics data, mechanics data and between them.
