With China's mountain freeway mileage increasing, The climbing lane has become an effective measure to improve the capacity of the specific longitudinal section and security. Through systematic analysis of domestic and foreign passenger-car equivalents algorithm, we summed up the characteristics and the limitations of various algorithms; for capacity computing needs of a particular longitudinal section of mountain freeway, we proposed the capacity algorithm as an algorithm of passenger-car equivalents in a specific longitudinal mountain freeway. We analyzed traffic flow macro-and micro-feature, elaborated the relationship of macroscopic traffic flow parameters on a specific longitudinal section and the operation mode of micro- vehicles, analyzed factors impacting the capacity of specific longitudinal section from both the road conditions and traffic conditions. We used traffic flow wave theory to explain the reasons of the formation of the saturated flow in the process of micro-simulation, put forward two ways to realize saturated flow of sections: input and output traffic flow, through the analysis of influencing factors of traffic flow and the calibration of micro-simulation model parameters we provided a simulation environment on a particular longitudinal section. We Selected representative non-standard vehicles models such as DongFeng EQ1228V19D2 large goods vehicles and Star - Steyr trailer as the study, led to passenger-car equivalents under different design speeds ,different longitudinal and different conditions of traffic components, and analyzed influencing factors of passenger-car equivalents. The above results provided reference and technical support for the calculation of capacity level and the analysis of service level on particular longitudinal sections.
