Nowadays, the tunnels built in the cold areas have encountered many kinds of disasters, such as peeling off, the fracture on the lining surface, seepage, ice covering, the tunnel face wall friendly sinking, slippery collapse, tilts, the tunnel freeing port freezing, and so on, which result from the existence of seasonal thawing and freezing in the concrete and rock surrounding the tunnel. All of such disasters not only affect the tunnels to be artistic, and threaten their service capacity. The reason of all these damages is the existence of negative temperature area in the concrete and the rock surrounding the tunnel. Therefore ,only on the basis of the truly understanding to the tunnel temperature field distribution, can we carry on the effective cold-resistance design to the cold local tunnels, reduce the cold plant diseases to the lowest level and reduce or avoid the tunnels' later period maintenance costs.This paper researches on the concrete and the rock temperature field of Alatan tunnel, as the road tunnel in the No.304 national highway, which lies in the high latitude and low-temperature zone. The main research content includes: (1) the feature of tunnel temperature's distributing and variety, accomplishing the tunnel area atmospheric temperature and tunnel environmental temperature test and analysis, summing up the tunnel environmental temperature change characteristics, achieving the change relationship of the tunnels environmental temperature and tunnel atmospheric temperature in order to provide the theoretical and practical information for the temperature fieldsimulation. (2) test temperature field surrounding the tunnel rocks, having obtained rock temperature distribution and its changing law, summing up the relationship among the rock temperature field, the tunnel environmental temperature and surrounding rock geological conditions. (3) applying the test value as a temperature load to the tunnel concrete face, respectively simulating the general tunnel depth temperature field with transient and phase-change finite element model, according to the having anti-freezing material and without two-dimensional and three-dimentional, thus accurately identifying the tunnels' anti-freezing material thickness and the necessary length along the tunnel. The production of the paper has an instruction in preventing frostbite to the tunnel construction in the paper, and can also use for reference to other tunnels.
