Automated mechanical transmission (AMT) is a automatic transmission control system which collecting electronic, mechanical and hydraulic equipment. AMT realizes the automatic transmission by rebuild traditional MT with microcomputer control technology, intelligent control technology, sensor technology and information processing technology. AMT is a very complicated system. While keeping the low cost and high rate, simplifying driving operations and improving automatic control ability, the probability of appeared fault will greatly increase. This need ensure the system's security and reliability with advanced fault self-diagnosis and fault disposal technology. Fault self-diagnosis and disposal is one of the key technology in AMT system.This paper according to the need of developing the on board diagnostic of heavy truck of AMT. Have analyzed fault diagnosis and fault disposal in allusion to every possible fault during driving through the method of Parameter Estimation, Analytical Redundancy and Signal Process.Key elements include:â‘ Have analyzed the system of AMT, controlled object, actuator, the sensor of structure and control principle, and the control rule of engine, clutch and transmission. It lay a foundation for fault diagnosis.â‘¡Have analyzed each control flow and the conversion process among each control flow of AMT during driving in detail. Have established the fault diagnosis table of engine fuel supply system, clutch control process, transmission shift process and hydraulic control system according to the control flow and the different time and position of occurred fault.â‘¢Have studied the fault disposal which occurred in different state, different time and different position of starting, shifting, coasting, decelerating and parking during driving aim at the security and the reliability. Have proposed fault disposal in allusion to very corresponding fault.â‘£According to the fault diagnosis table have established the fault diagnosis process and the simulation model of SIMULINK. Have simulated each fault. Have Proved model function through introduce normal and abnormal input signal. These researches can provide basis for develop the fault diagnosis of AMT control system.
