Reciprocating compressor equipment for gas pipelines is widely used in petroleum, chemical and other industries. For the whole pipeline system, pipe vibrations which are excited by flow pulsation is a huge threat. Therefore, to improve the safety and economy of the compressor, the study on vibration characteristics and security of reciprocating compressor piping has important theoretical and practical significance. On the basis of Electro-acoustic analogy, this paper studies the vibration characteristics of reciprocating compressor (natural frequency, flow pulsation) and the assessment of pipeline vibration provides some scientific basis for the reciprocating compressor piping system design and the transformation of pipeline.The paper introduced theoretical calculation method of natural frequency flow pulsation of the complex piping of reciprocating compressor and Electro-acoustic analogy method; Analyzed differential equations characteristics of gas flows and AC series circuit; Combined with Electro-acoustic analogy method, The paper deduced equivalent differential equations of circuit elements; Established the equivalent circuits of pipe, volume, branch pipe and parallel pipes.The paper used the matlab/simulink simulated gas column of reciprocating compressor piping; calculated natural frequency of gas column and compared the calculation results with transfer matrix method; obtained the calculation accuracy curve of sub-micro-element with natural frequency. The paper calculated the natural frequency of complex piping, and illustrated that it is effective to calculate natural frequency of reciprocating compressor piping with Electro-acoustic analogy method.The paper which used the matlab/simulink calculated flow pulsation of gas column of reciprocating compressor piping and calculated flow pulsation with theoretical calculation method and compared the results of both of them to confirm their accuracy. On the basis of that t the position influences of buffer tank to reduce flow pulsation are analyzed. The paper illustrated that it is effective to calculate flow vibration of reciprocating compressor piping with Electro-acoustic analogy method.According to the United States API618 standard, the paper carried on safety evaluation of vibration with vibration characteristics of reciprocating compressor piping calculated by Electro-acoustic analogy method. According to evaluation results, innovative measures were proposed.The paper calculated flow vibration and obtained evaluation results. The finally results illustrated that it is convenient and effective to calculate of reciprocating compressor piping with Electro-acoustic analogy method.
