Because of it, the manufacturing of DVD becomes more diverse. Users can download movies which meet Download specification from the net and burn them onto the disc which also meet DVD Download specification at home. They can also order movies or titles from DVD manufacturers.Manufacturing On Demand (MOD) is a new concept on DVD which is based on DVD Download specification. Consumers can employ MOD system to purchase movies and manufacturers will produce DVD products which consumers order through MOD system. The article mainly introduces DVD Download specification protected by CSS system firstly. Then, the article shows a designed MOD system concerning to the condition of China. The main structures of the system and each part will be introduced, as well as the function of them and how the system runs. We need DVD authoring for MOD system, and the most important function is to realize the combination of more than two DVD movies into one. This article studys file system of DVD Video, do DVD combination experiment, and analyze the change of information (IFO) files after combination. Then the article introduces the combination program, especially the structure of the main part of the program, subfunction and main problems.From the result of the experiment, we can see the program bring down the differences sharply. With combination experiments of other DVD samples, this article proves the effect of the program. In the end, the article point out the study direction of next stage and the significance of this subject, especially for developing Chinese own file system of optical disc.
