Wind power and Photovoltaic (PV) generation are different from conventional power generation for its fluctuating nature. With the increasing penetration level, wind power and PV generation will influence the stability and dispatching of power system more and more.Based on Monte Carlo method, this paper creates a generation capacity model including wind power and PV generation, and presents a detailed adequacy evaluation scheme to quantitatively evaluate the capacity-replacement contribution of wind power and PV generation. An approach which samples the random states of wind power and PV generation to calculate the reliability indices of the generation system and the fuel savings is also presented. The values of LOLE in different periods and under different weather, and the reliability index change when install the electric energy storage system are analyzed. We investigate the voltage stability when wind power and PV generation are integrated in different positions, especially when they are between transformer and the end of feeder. In the aspect of energy-saving and emission-reducing, the value of wind power and PV generation is analyzed in detail. We create a multi-objective optimization model for generation rights trade among wind power plants and thermal power plants, which comprehensively takes environmental cost, congestion cost, coal consumption, network constraints, and economy into consideration. Method for calculating environmental cost of various power plants is presented. We also design a specific work flow of the generation rights trading market.
