In the beginning, the paper reviews the current situation of Elevator Group Control System (EGCS) both in domestic area and foreign area, and then researches those existent algorithms and EGCS model, finally proposes the significance and the research target of this paper.In the second chapter, mainly researches the structure and characteristic of EGCS, and the function principle of elevator. This paper researches deeply about the characteristic and function requirement of EGCS, include the multi target, indeterminacy, non-linear, flexibility and some other point, in the same time, researches traffic flow model of EGCS, it's important that every kind of EGCS should consider that gingerly. Finally explain some main factors those should be considered during designing process.In the third chapter, based on above studies, this paper proposes a new algorithm of EGCS called Minimum-Elevator-Riding -Time (MRT), which is a chief and useful algorithm, in this chapter MRT's details was described clearly, first, lists gist of this algorithm, after this, draw the flow chart of it, and then describe how it is working and how it logical process is. Finally, give some explain and consideration during if MRT used in really project.In the fourth chapter, introduce the simulator program which is based on LabView, in this chapter introduce the structure and function models of this program, data flow and result of simulation. This program was consisted of 12 main models and few accessorial small function models, every model's function and program was explained in this chapter in detail. Finally all these models were integrated together and working out the result, with the algorithm interface it was connected to different algorithm to simulate. Combine with view interface the result was recorded and indicated.In the end, summarize the sense of MRT and the simulator, view their advantage and prospect, since the characteristic and great advantage of this simulator based on G language, it will be potential and helpful in the future engineering simulative application.
