Elevator is an essential vehicle for high-rise buildings. As economy develops andstandard of living improves, people are having increasingly higher requirements on elevator, expecting better service quality and operating efficiency. Therefore, the study of effectiveelevator group control dispatching system based on improving functions of elevatorequipment could realize the targets of efficient operation, convenient service and energyconservation of elevator. In this paper, elevator simulation system based on LabView isdesigned and developed with group control dispatching algorithm for multiple elevatorsbeing studied and validity and feasibility of the algorithm being verified on a simulationplatform. The present paper overviews the development and research status of elevator groupcontrol system while discussing about elevator group control dispatching principles andtheir features and analyzing the current status of elevator simulation study platform bothhome and abroad.Besides, a LabView-based elevator virtual simulation system is designed anddeveloped. By applying the modular design thought pattern, a number of modules aredesigned in accordance with structure, operation and functions of elevator, including thehall call sharing module, command module within the car, speed-switching and levelingmodule, direction module, car operation module and dispatching algorithm module. Thesimulation platform could directly reflect the structure and working patterns of elevator, displaying excellent expansibility and providing a testing platform for the study ofmulti-elevator dispatching algorithm. In addition, based on analyzing the disadvantages of traditional parallel dispatchingalgorithm, the present paper proposes an improved parallel dispatching algorithm whichdisintegrate the operation state of two elevators into different modes includingshortest-distance mode, up-peak mode, down-peak mode and idle mode based on the principle of shortest time between elevator waiting and riding. The improved methodprovides a better solution to the problem of elevator dispatching in stochastic interfloortraffic when two parallel elevators are in operation, overcoming the defect of looseconnection between traditional dispatching algorithm and passenger flow traffic modes. It isrevealed by experiment results that application of the improved algorithm could reduce thetimes of empty riding and enhance the operating efficiency.Based on analysis of four-procedure group control dispatching algorithm and in lightof fuzzy decision-making and zonal dispatching, the present paper proposes a fuzzy groupcontrol dispatching algorithm based on dynamic zoning. Taking elevator waiting time, carspare capacity, shortest distance and car utilization rate as variables, a fuzzydecision-making principle is formulated. It is found that the dispatching algorithm couldreduce the average elevator waiting and riding time and the times of empty riding, beingable to enhance effectively elevator service quality in high-rise buildings.
