Fuel cell is a kind of high-efficiency, low noise and clean sources energy.It has become a very important choice of new energy development.The research of the monitoring and control system is quite critical to the development of fuel cell.When a fuel cell is running, the monitoring and control system can provide the needed materials at the best level and also maintain the best condition for the fuel cell, which is a must for the high eficient operation of the fuel cell.A fuel cell test bed is designed in this paper.By utilizing the test bed, we also developed an embedded control system for the fuel cell.This paper focuses on the following aspects:Firstly, a test bed for 10KW PEMFC is designed. The test bed is based on industrial computer and its software system is designed by LabVIEW.The test bed can be used to test the perfomance of fuel cell and the impact of different varibles to the fuel cell,which helps the research of the principle of fuel cell system; Secondly, an embedded control system for the fuel cell is designed.Based on AT91RM9200 microprocessor ,its hardware ,driver and software application is designed.The control system gives better control performance by utilizing the data from the above test bed, easy to extended and implementing various control algorithms;Last, a GPC algorithm for temperature control system is proposed .By analyzing the temperature system feature, a GPC alogorithm is designed and simulated using Matlab.From the simulation result, this algorithm significantly improves the fuel cell system's performance.What is more, the monitoring and control system discussed in this paper has been successfully deployed in Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Wuxi Nissen electric Company Ltd.
