Variable frequency speed system of synchronous motor with AC-DC-AC inverter is a major area in the development of high-power AC drive system because of its high power density, low harmonic pollution as well as control-performance. Meanwhile, the fast development of power electronics,micro-electronics and modern theory brought high impulsively effects to the development of the advanced control strategies and full digital control technique for synchronous motor. Variable speed system of synchronous motor with AC-DC-AC inverter have been became an important research direction in high power AC drive field. This paper gains the bankroll of advanced research project of "Tenth-Five-Year-Plan" Its takes electrically excited synchronous motor as the main research object. Based on the further research of the vector control technology, the paper manufactures a full digital synchronous motor vector control system device. That provides a reliable experimental platform for research the speed adjusting performance, control strategies and topology of high-power inverter.Firstly this paper establishing the mathematic models in A-B-C frame, d-q frame and M-T frame .Then the gas-flux-oriented control strategies was derived. Based on this the paper obtained the system structure of the variable speed system of synchronous motor with AC-DC-AC inverter. That provides theoretical basis for design and development experimental device.According as the theory of vector control system for synchronous, the hardware of the digital synchronous motor vector control system based on digital signal processor was designed. All part of this system was introduced in detail, including main circuit, control circuit and detection circuit. And then a series of experimentation were implemented for confirmed the correctness of system designed. The result of the experimentation indicates the design of the system's hardware is reliant. That provides the credible hardware platform for software design.The parameter design method for current regulator and speed regulator were introduced in detail. The structure of software system for synchronous motor vector control system was given. The voltage of space vector arithmetic, gas-flux-oriented arithmetic and PI regulator achieve method used computer were emphasizing introduced. The problems for attention of software design were point out at last.Finally, the paper does a lot of experimentations to examine the performance of this system. The result of experimentation shows that the vector control system that was designed in this paper has good static and dynamic performances.
