Switched reluctance motor drive system has become the powerful competitor against the traditional AC and DC drive systems, due to its simple structure, low cost and high efficiency in the broad range of speed. But the strong nonlinear electromagnetic characteristic of switched reluctance motor increases its control difficulty, and satisfying characteristics can't be easily obtained with conventional methods. So the study of intelligent control strategies for switched reluctance motor drive system is focused on the field of switched reluctance motors in recent years.In this paper, some materials about switched reluctance motor and its drive system are studied deeply. Aiming the changes of its inductance, winding currents and torque at different stages, Angular Position Control stragery is adopted when high speed, and Chopped Current Control stragery is adopted when low speed. Fuzzy logic control stragery is applied to the drive system of switched reluctance motor.This dissertation primarily presents the development of Switched Reluctance Motor at home and abroad firstly, and then describes the characteristics and working principle of SRM in details. By comparing several control methods, a simple and practicable design is put forward as the object is 8/6 pole, 0.75kW SRM. The controller uses the TMS320F2812 of TI Company as the main control unit, as a wealth of peripherals are integrated in DSP, the external circuit compopents needed are significantly reduced, the system design is simplified,and the reliability is improved.The designing of Power Convertor is guided by the principle of matching structure, high efficiency and convenient controlling. After comparing a variety of basic structures of power convert, a proposal with least switching devices is adopted, making the cost lower, the controlling simplifier, safer and more reliable. Software of the controlling system is programmed in method of module, making the program readable and modifiable.The experiment results show that the design of the system is rational. With the support of controller, power circuit and software, the motor runs stable and reliable, and meets the requirement of design.
