Superconducting properties of YBCO thin films can be greatly improved by incorporating a small amount of BaZrO3. In this work, we investigated the influences of the pulsed laser deposition parameters on the epitaxial growth characteristics and superconducting properties of YBCO thin films.In this paper, we used the solid-state reaction method to synthesize YBCO and BaZrO3 (BZO) compounds, and sintered a YBCO target containing 2wt% of BZO. The prepared powders and target materials were tested and analyzed, the high quality superconducting tagret materials were got.YBCO thin films containing BaZrO3 were grown on LaAlO3 (100) substrates by the pulsed laser deposition method at different temperatures, oxygen partial pressure, and laser pulsing frequency. The epitaxial characteristics of the YBCO with BZO thin films grown at different conditions as above were analyzed with X-ray diffraction and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy techniques. The superconducting properties of these YBCO with BZO thin films were measured, and the optimized deposition parameters were obtained. the optimized deposition parameters: The best deposition temperature is 800℃, The most optimizing oxygen is 25Pa, the best deposition frequency is 3Hz. The most optimizing number of laser pulse is 3200 8000, Target distance is 4cm, Deposited films are cooled down in situ under an oxygen atmosphere at 103Pa oxygen pressure at 500℃. well c-axis oriented epitaxial and high quality YBCO thin films have been deposited on LaAlO3(100).
